Las Cuatro Esquinas, Chile
This div will be replaced
Shot on the original Sweetgrass Productions DVX 100A camera, Las Cuatro Esquinas takes us close to 5000m in the northern desert where Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru meet. En route to ski the 6342m Parinacota volcano, we spent a few days with Leroy and his stone hut. As one of twenty eight people who call the town home, he is a self-taught poet who enjoys sharing his craft over dinner. Las Cuatro Equinas touches on the history of the area.

Nothing Stops a Bullet Like a Job

"At Homeboy Industries, rival gang members substitute the confines of gang affiliation for the ever-widening expanse of real, live community. And community will trump gang any day." Fr. Greg Boyle Nothing Stops a Bullet Like a Job was shot on the original DVX 100A in Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles. Film is a vehicle to explore cultures, to learn about people that you might, otherwise, never get to understand. As a filmmaker, this project brought us into the world of latino gangs, where crime, death, and broken homes stemmed from a lethal absence of hope and community.
